State-of-the-art magnetic particle technology featuring the latest materials and components, modern manufacturing techniques and a sleek design. MAGPOWR’s Global Series Clutches gives you all that and more.
Smooth controllable torque, torque repeatability and torque independent of speed make these clutches suitable for many power transmission and tensioning applications. Long life is assured by polished seal surfaces, high temperature materials and rugged, compact construction.
The clutch consists of two rotating members: the inner member is the rotor (output member, mounted on a rotating shaft) and the outer rotating member is the housing assembly (input member, driven by a gear, pulley or sprocket attached to the mounting rabbet provided on the side of the clutch housing). No couplings, mounting feet or other attachments are required, since the clutch becomes an integral part of your machine.
With Tidland’s Equalizer Model D3 Differential Air Shaft, operators can run a variety of different roll widths with adjustable pressure all along the length at the same time. The Equalizer D3 is guaranteed to provide core positioning with adjustable air pressure without spacers or core stop setup. It’s designed for duplex center or surface winders for multiple roll tension equalization. When not covered by the core, tension elements mechanically lock in place to secure core position through the entire run. The D3 requires no tools for core stops, no core stop positioning. Use these air shafts and say “No” to tools, spacers, core shifts and waiting for core position setup.
Years of successful roll control in the field testify to the excellent performance of the Leaf Shaft. Designed for a wide range of converting applications, these shafts are best for the elimination of thin wall core deformation. The 360º radial expanding grip along the entire leaf face delivers more winding surface and allows for the winding of single or multiple rolls, with or without cores.
With smooth, polished external leaves, these shafts are particularly suited for delicate materials. Leaf Shafts are built tough, with bodies constructed of standard steel, alloy steel or aluminum, and internal tubes made of durable, hard-wearing rubber. Simple modular construction and standardized components mean quick off-the-shelf spares service and easy in-plant maintenance when necessary.
Series 650 Leaf Shaft – designed for light to medium-duty in 2 inch to 6 inch (50.8 mm to 152.4 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The versatility of this shaft has made it the most popular and widely used leaf shaft on the market today.
Series 750 Leaf Shaft – designed for heavy-duty in 7 inch to 24 inch (177.8 mm to 609.6 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The largest diameter leaf shaft available, this shaft is excellent for tougher jobs such as winding metal and foil strips. It can also be used as a reel spool for Paper reels and large paper machines
Series 800 shafts feature innovative two-piece expanding elements, which deliver an impressive combination of balance and torque. These advanced shafts also feature self retraction, durable poly bladder, and a fail-safe multi-circuit air system, with check valves to ensure that a loss of air in one element will not affect the expansion and performance of the other elements.
The Series 800 Strip Shaft is designed for medium- to heavy-duty in 76.2 mm (3 inch) to 508 mm (20 inch) ID cores. This shaft’s full-length strip design delivers excellent torque characteristics, making it ideal for general duty unwind and rewind applications.
Tidland’s Raptor Series Air Powered Lug Chucks are easy to use and maintain and help eliminate the core damage usually associated with shaftless applications. The Air Powered Lug Chuck is ideal for high-speed printing, laminating, sheeting applications on unwind flying or zero speed splicers and other shaftless unwind/rewind applications. Unlike other chucks, Tidland’s Raptor Series Air Powered Chucks offer on-machine maintenance and toolless adapter changes from 76.2 mm (3 inch) to 305 mm (12 inch) cores in less than 5 seconds.
