Tidland Lug Shafts
Read MoreUnwind and Rewind Applications
Strong and versatile, Tidland Lug Shafts deliver superior performance in the widest range of converting applications. Unmatched for positive holding power, the lug-style design eliminates core damage, prevents roll slip through fast startups and shutdowns, and minimizes vibration at high web speeds. Simple modular construction and standardized components mean quick off-the-shelf spares service and easy in-plant maintenance when necessary.
Series 500 Lug Shaft – Air
The Series 500 Lug Shaft is designed for light- to heavy-duty applications in 50.8 mm (2 inch) to 152.4 mm (6 inch) ID cores; often used in center unwind and rewind applications with either fiber or steel cores. These reliable shafts are constructed of alloy steel, aluminum, or lightweight, composite materials – depending on usage and requirements.Series 550 Lug Shaft – Mechanical
The Series 550 Lug Shaft is designed for medium- to heavy-duty in 76.2 mm (3 inch) ID cores; often used in center unwind and rewind applications with either fiber or steel cores. The shaft body is constructed of 4150 heat treated steel or lightweight, composite materials. Each shaft is built to order and has as much as 85% fewer moving parts than other mechanical shafts. -
Tidland Cyclone™ High Speed Centering Shaft
Read MoreThe Tidland Cyclone™ Series high speed centering shafts increase throughput by eliminating roll loping and enabling web handling operations to run smoothly at higher speeds. The external
element, two-stage pneumatic design holds the core concentric to the body, reducing machine vibration and wear. The Cyclone Series is available in diameters ranging from 3 inch to over 20 inch.

Tidland Leaf Shafts
Read MoreYears of successful roll control in the field testify to the excellent performance of the Leaf Shaft. Designed for a wide range of converting applications, these shafts are best for the elimination of thin wall core deformation. The 360º radial expanding grip along the entire leaf face delivers more winding surface and allows for the winding of single or multiple rolls, with or without cores.
With smooth, polished external leaves, these shafts are particularly suited for delicate materials. Leaf Shafts are built tough, with bodies constructed of standard steel, alloy steel or aluminum, and internal tubes made of durable, hard-wearing rubber. Simple modular construction and standardized components mean quick off-the-shelf spares service and easy in-plant maintenance when necessary.
Series 650 Leaf Shaft – designed for light to medium-duty in 2 inch to 6 inch (50.8 mm to 152.4 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The versatility of this shaft has made it the most popular and widely used leaf shaft on the market today.
Series 750 Leaf Shaft – designed for heavy-duty in 7 inch to 24 inch (177.8 mm to 609.6 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The largest diameter leaf shaft available, this shaft is excellent for tougher jobs such as winding metal and foil strips. It can also be used as a reel spool for Paper reels and large paper machines

Tidland D3 Differential Air Shaft
Read MoreWith Tidland’s Equalizer Model D3 Differential Air Shaft, operators can run a variety of different roll widths with adjustable pressure all along the length at the same time. The Equalizer D3 is guaranteed to provide core positioning with adjustable air pressure without spacers or core stop setup. It’s designed for duplex center or surface winders for multiple roll tension equalization. When not covered by the core, tension elements mechanically lock in place to secure core position through the entire run. The D3 requires no tools for core stops, no core stop positioning. Use these air shafts and say “No” to tools, spacers, core shifts and waiting for core position setup.
