The DSE – 11 digital infrared sensor is the smallest infrared sensor available from Fife. Because of its compact size, light weight, and insensitivity to ambient light, it is ideal for many applications where accurate web guiding is required and space is limited.
The DSE – 11 Infrared Sensor measures the lateral position of the guided material photo electrically. The control range (proportional band) allows significant guide point adjustment. The DSE – 11 is often used in pairs for centre guiding when web width variations are limited. Its excellent technical specifications allow it to also be used with a Fife processor to guide clear film. Normally the DSE – 11 is used for guiding opaque materials.
It is possible to operate the DSE – 11 with either a supply voltage of 12 V or 24 V. The output signal would automatically be switched over in that case. In 12 V supply mode the sensor provides an output signal from 0 to 10 mA and can be connected to all available Fife web guide processors. In 24 V supply mode the sensor supplies an output signal between 4 and 20 mA and can be easily connected to a PLC as well.
The DSE – 11 has a built-in LED display, visible from both sides, and shows directly on the sensor information about the operating status like for instance the existence of the supply voltage, position of
the edge of the web inside the field of view or error messages.
Tidland’s Air Brakes deliver reliable continuous tension control for a wide variety of applications. These single rotor, high output brakes feature a unique convection design for dissipating heat resulting in superior performance and prolonged pad life with models capable of handling a maximum torque range of 1,430 lb-in to 23,700 lb-in.
These Air Brakes are durable construction for your most demanding braking needs and can be custom configured for your exact tension and braking needs, whether that be delicate tissue, heavy-weight liner board, textile, film or foils.
The perfect combination of durability and high-speed operation in a lightweight, ergonomic air shaft is what operators will find in Tidland’s Ultrashaft Carbon Fiber Air Shafts. The Ultrashaft is available with a unique resin rich coating to provide further protection against abrasion, knife cuts, unexpected impact and normal wear and tear from daily shaft handling. This new Ultrashaft M30 results in a lighter overall shaft weight and eliminates guessing if the carbon fiber under a cracked sleeve is safe for your application.
Further enhancements to the shaft include high-torque lugs and non-metallic retraction springs to virtually eliminate bladder failures giving you an ultra-reliable, ultra-durable, ultra-high speed, Ultrashaft.
Feather Light. Intense Grip. Incredibly Durable. Tidland’s Force5 air chuck offers the lightweight alternative to aluminum chucks at the lowest cost in the market. The Force5 can also take abuse in the toughest environments. The specially engineered polymer expanding element is not only designed for high durability in extreme conditions, but retains its shape over time for ease of insertion and removal. The Force5 are the lightest weight air chucks available and have the greatest gripping force with improved gripping during e-stop & high-torque applications. Paired with Tidland’s Ultrashaft carbon fiber air shafts or mandrels, you can safely change rolls from 76 mm (3 inch) to 152 mm (6 inch) ID cores.
The NimCor Roll Restorer quickly turns seemingly unusable stock back into profitable inventory by helping to salvage virtually any roll with a crushed or damaged core. The Roll Restorer can also be used to install shafts while restoring damaged rolls.
Choose from Two Models:
Standard Model: 50.8 mm to 152.4 mm Core ID
