WINstub Thru-Shaft Elminator

The WINstub product line is a low-cost, smart alternative to thru-shafts used with dead-shaft idler rolls. Available in the HUBstub or NUBstub design, it is a new way of mounting idler rollers. Traditional thru-shafts are very difficult to install and remove from a fixed framework that is fully assembled. WINstubs are a fraction of the weight of a thru-shaft and both the HUBstub and NUBstub can retract into the idler roller. This makes installation faster and easier.

By eliminating the thru-shaft, we also eliminate the potential of excessive bending of long and slender shafts. At higher idlers speeds, long shafts can go into resonant frequency whip. This is a very dangerous up and down movement that can cause machine vibration damage and possible injury to machine operators. WINstubs do not go all the way through the roller, so they cannot go into this up and down motion at high speeds. The result is safer equipment, less vibration and less risk to employees.

All WINstub designs are of 1045 hard chrome plated that is ground and polished, the same material as our WINshaft.
