The GMA Series of Electromechanical Actuators give you the thrust, speed, stoke and precision in a single convenient product. This new design includes the servo-center to efficiently position a guide structure, sensor, chasing equipment and/or web.
A single global design replaces and is backwards compatible to all existing Fife Actuators (including LAB-1, LAB-3, GAB-1, GAG-2 and GAG-3). This new, electromechanical design provides accuracy and simplicity through clean, electronic operation while eliminating the continuous maintenance and upkeep required using traditional hydraulic cylinder operation. With a wide variety of thrust, speed, and stroke models available, you have the flexibility to solve even the most demanding applications.
Fife Actuators are ideal for use with a Fife web guide controller and steering guide, displacement guide or sensor positioning equipment in, slaving, chasing, and unwind/rewind applications.
Inexpensive and effective, Tidland’s Automatic Lug Chuck is designed specifically to meet the needs of narrow-web converters. This chuck features spring-loaded, torque activated expanding lugs for economical die cut and trim removal in narrow web applications.
Years of successful roll control in the field testify to the excellent performance of the Leaf Shaft. Designed for a wide range of converting applications, these shafts are best for the elimination of thin wall core deformation. The 360º radial expanding grip along the entire leaf face delivers more winding surface and allows for the winding of single or multiple rolls, with or without cores.
With smooth, polished external leaves, these shafts are particularly suited for delicate materials. Leaf Shafts are built tough, with bodies constructed of standard steel, alloy steel or aluminum, and internal tubes made of durable, hard-wearing rubber. Simple modular construction and standardized components mean quick off-the-shelf spares service and easy in-plant maintenance when necessary.
Series 650 Leaf Shaft – designed for light to medium-duty in 2 inch to 6 inch (50.8 mm to 152.4 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The versatility of this shaft has made it the most popular and widely used leaf shaft on the market today.
Series 750 Leaf Shaft – designed for heavy-duty in 7 inch to 24 inch (177.8 mm to 609.6 mm) ID cores, as well as in coreless operations. The largest diameter leaf shaft available, this shaft is excellent for tougher jobs such as winding metal and foil strips. It can also be used as a reel spool for Paper reels and large paper machines
Tidland’s Narrow Web Shafts were created specifically to meet the needs of narrow-web converters. These economical shafts are designed to fit any press — with cantilevered, drop-in, flange, and bar mounting styles available.
D490 Differential Shafts hold rolls straight and true. Interchangeable cartridges allow you to determine how the shaft engages the core to best suit the material and core you’re running. Choose from a heavy gauge wire spring design (D490S) for fiber cores, or a 2-row, 12-ball, torque activated design (D490B) for fiber or PVC cores.
The result is improved finished roll quality, reduced scrap and fast, easy setups for even the most sensitive materials. Because D490 Differential Shafts are manufactured in North America, Europe and China, they are easily sourced and supported worldwide. All components conform to Tidland’s high quality standards and are interchangeable regardless of where the shaft is installed.
