The DSE-17 is a digital wide proportional band infrared sensor. The sensor is most suitable for applications where opacity or density variations may occur, such as tissue, non-woven, textile, paper, foil, and for many opaque films. It can track up to 4 independent web edges simultaneously.
When web width variations exist, the wide proportional band of the DSE-17 sensor eliminates the need for the manual repositioning of the sensor.
Thanks to its IP-65 rating the DSE-17 can be installed even in the presence of water spray or condensation. The digital technique is immune to higher levels of contamination, compared with traditional analog sensors. The contamination of the sensor acrylic window can be monitored via a proportional analog output signal. An air sweep system is available as an option. In addition the DSE-17 sensor is protected against the influence of ambient light.
The Performance Series P5E features advanced servo controlled print station and die cutting platform design. The P5E is engineered for the converter looking to achieve productivity, extremely quick changeover and high quality levels at an appealing value.
Building on the unique print station design common to all Performance Series presses, the P5 is focused on productivity and efficiency. Its modular servo platform can be configured to support a variety of pressure sensitive and film applications.
A digital label press designed to free up capacity on high output flexo presses, and bring greater efficiency to fast turnaround work. Built specifically for short run prime labels, Mark Andy Digital One makes digital printing more accessible to narrow-web converters.
Strong and versatile, Tidland Lug Shafts deliver superior performance in the widest range of converting applications. Unmatched for positive holding power, the lug-style design eliminates core damage, prevents roll slip through fast startups and shutdowns, and minimizes vibration at high web speeds. Simple modular construction and standardized components mean quick off-the-shelf spares service and easy in-plant maintenance when necessary.
Series 500 Lug Shaft – Air
The Series 500 Lug Shaft is designed for light- to heavy-duty applications in 50.8 mm (2 inch) to 152.4 mm (6 inch) ID cores; often used in center unwind and rewind applications with either fiber or steel cores. These reliable shafts are constructed of alloy steel, aluminum, or lightweight, composite materials – depending on usage and requirements.
Series 550 Lug Shaft – Mechanical
The Series 550 Lug Shaft is designed for medium- to heavy-duty in 76.2 mm (3 inch) ID cores; often used in center unwind and rewind applications with either fiber or steel cores. The shaft body is constructed of 4150 heat treated steel or lightweight, composite materials. Each shaft is built to order and has as much as 85% fewer moving parts than other mechanical shafts.
Versatility is important for so many pieces of equipment, accessories and components, yet so few actually deliver. Tidland’s expansion shafts are specifically designed for applications where core size variation is common. Operators can adjust the core diameter of the shaft while it remains on the machine, eliminating the need to stock multiple shafts and drastically reducing setup time.
